My latest work - appearing monthly

Did TeeZee get sunburned? And when will Pixar start working on The Little Motorcycle: the Movie? :D

Sirmyk: Yep, monthly. Just as the title of this thread states. :p

Ell: Thanks

Occlith: Interesting observation. The illustrator (Jim) is doing the black and white outline, and the color is being added by the art department at the magazine. I think with all the white snow they just wanted to have some color. (Note to self, remember this comment)

A movie???? Even my over-active imagination can't think like that. :)

Wow, it is sooo great! Are there any translations of your book?
Unfortunately, our nefiews (4 and 7 years old) still do not speak English... But it seems to be exactly the book for them!

Unfortunately no. English only at the moment. Interesting that you ask though because it's something we have talked about. Motorcycle racing is huge in Spain, Italy, and Japan. Not sure what language you would be talking about Waveguide but I'm sorry to say at the moment I can't help. :(

This past Tuesday, yep 06/06/06....

"The Little Motorcycle" comic strip made it's television debut on SpeedTV's weekly motorcycle show "2 Wheel Tuesday"

During the discussion of the comic strip, the current, and 6 time National AMA Superbike champion, Mat Mladin, was given a copy of my book to read to his 3 year old daughter.

It was a very good day. :D :D :D

abc predicts that little girl will love The Little Motorcycle just at much as my boys did. The five year old still gets wild when he spies your avatar.

So, talk us through story-boarding a three frame comic? :D

It is a bit tricky to create a situation that can be started, and completed with very limited text, and 3 relatively simple pictures. A situation that relates to racing motorcycles, yet has to be relatively kid friendly, and hopefully humerous to both adult and child.

It's a bit of a challenge, but ultimately we've been able to draw on personal experience, and so far, the publisher has been overly pleased with what we've created.
