New Years plans 2007

So, what's everyone doing to usher in the new year?:) I plan on reading a good book and sleeping.

May be brave and hit the local pub but will probably hide with my sister and her friends and my OH in her flat. I can never be bothered with all the people at the street party in Edinburgh!

Going camping for 5 days at a place down south called Wanaka. It's right next to a lake, so I'll probably be going fishing and jet skiing and all that jazz.

The teens will have a New Year's Party at the youth group leader's house til about 2..I plan to stay home and concentrate on learning to knit..and reading when I get too frustrated with that endeavor:p

I will chill with my folks. Maybe drink some booze. :D

I hate that strangers shoot their guns up in the air. This is a form of moronic celebration! Those bullets come down; some on people, killing or wounding them. I will stay under shelter during new years night.

"Mini mehastings" and I will be going to my mother's house for a family party. I had a number of other invites, but Mr Mehastings is working and I didn't want to go out without him (nor did I want to worry about finding a baby sitter). It should be fun anyway, as my mother has pledged to put up anyone who wishes to spend the night, thus encouraging my uncles and cousins to get rowdy!

I will be attending a New Years evening dinner at a local winery/vineyard. I'm going with my two BFs and their boyfriends (hellooooooo fifth wheel!), so I'm hoping that I drink enough to have fun without whingeing about being the only single person there. I'm also hoping that the girls will not try to set me up with someone again, as this has not gone well in the past :(
