Of Mice and Men...

I saw the film Of Mice and Men, starring John Malcovich as Lennie, before I read the book, but reading the book was just like watching the film...the only thing that was spoilt is that I knew the twist of the dramatic ending...and so didn't enjoy the book as much as I would have liked...
 
I once did a class presentation where we were in groups of two, one had to interview the other who pretended to be a character from of Mice and Men. Two minutes before we had to go up, my partner said, "I'm not doing it, you do it," so I got to pretend to be Lennie with no preparation . . . I think I did a pretty good job, considering.
 
You know, I felt the same way when I watched it (many years ago). I thought it was the best adaptation I had ever seen, and it remains in my memory as one of the top 2. The other being the A&E version of Pride & Prejudice.
