One BIG personal library

Wow. I'm going to pass that picture of the boxes along to a certain man I live with. Perhaps then he'll quit his complaining!

Hey, maybe they'd like your old National Geographics, SFG!!

Wasn't there more posts on this thread yesterday? Or am I confused... it is 1am... it's possible.

I don't have a lot of National Geographics, sad to say.:( My grandparents did, had one from 1957 until the present day(which back then was '86) I loved reading the ads, but had a warped interest in Vietnam articles about South Vietnamese leaders and Nixon. Irregardless, I might check into getting a subscription(hopefully the wife won't notice.:p )

mehastings--Excellent point!, tell him that you've purchased two of those boxes.;)

Oh! Then who was posting about having a stack of NGs to get rid of? It was someone in the States... *Kook is too lazy to hit the search button and is waiting for lies to tell her to UTFS :D*

Nope Kook, turns out that I didn't, though my recollection of when their collection ended is hazy. '86.....'90...same thing.:p

My grandparents had stacks of them from the late 50's to the early '90s. After my grandmother died, we had a huge garage sale and every one of them were snatched up by others. I remember as a kid paging through them and reading up on articles about how a young military general was going to lead the South Vietnamese to victory or how a man named Richard Nixon was running for president. One of my favorites came from the '80s. I don't know the exact year, but they had a big issue on chocolate and the cover has a chocolate "statue" of the statue of liberty and explains how it is made and processed in Hershey PA. I'm certain that if you put an ad in the paper, you would have folks lining up to lighten your load of NG magazines :p

Aaaaaaaaargh!

I know, it's a trolling thing with me.:D

I think he would have a stroke. I was going to get a library next year, but now we're going to be using the room for something else.
