One cat I don't want near me....ever

Oh, I heard about that. It's up to 25 now? Last I heard was 23.

Some people have said that they believe that it may be an odor or an aura that a person gives off before their death. I think that we've just got a psychic kitty. :D
 
one of my old jobs had me traveling around to retirement/resting homes all over the east coast and most of these places had dogs and cats in most of the buildings to keep the residents company and i guess a little bit of companionship, so when i first started to read the article the local paper wrote about this i wasnt really paying attention to what it was really about, talk about creepy, the worse part of the column i read was were they removed the cat from one room of a patient that was close to passing and the cat started flipping out, hissing and spitting all over the place, i found that very disturbing

In my opinion, I don't think it's "psychic powers." I think it's just that animals are able to sense things that humans cannot.

Stephie, did you not catch the article's link, or did the article confuse you? Basically, there's a cat that curls up in people's beds a few hours before they die. It's in a nursing home/rehabilitation centre, so it's been able to do this 25 times, now. Hence the wiggins.

Yes, and it also leads to a short story titled Oscar's Hallway. SFG I think I love you--then again this is one of the first things I've written using first-person narrative...I never knew how flexibly easy it could be to write a narrative when you don't have to waste time externally describing a character.

Mmmm....fun.
 
Seven - I was inspired to write when I read this article, too.

Not about a cat. Noah Gordon wrote a series of historical novels about a family of doctors where in each generation, the person could tell when he/she touched the patient whether the patient was about to die or not.

The first one in the series was pretty good if unbelievable: English boy studies medicine in Persia and ends up in Scotland.
 
I have a cat that looks just like Oscar, although my boy is a bit more furry.

He's not psychic unless you count his sudden appearance every time the barbecus is lit.
