What one book do you want to get around to reading this year?

It's a really tough choice to pick just one! But I would really like to tackle War and Peace  What about you?

Since I'm currently tackling War and Peace, I'll say Paradise Lost. I've started reading it before but lost patience along the way.

HI! :) no don't think I could manage War and Peace, rom what I've heard it is one heavy book.. probly couldn't even lift it. But I have been promising to read 'Seven Pillars of Wisdom' .. D. H. Lawrence.

Hi!

Not sure that I can manage War and Piece but I'll still give it a go. Hopefully I can manage it! Wish me luck! :D

A piece of advice: Start at the first page and continue until you reach the last one. :) Like you said in another thread, writing down the names is a good idea, apart from that its a great book.. Good luck.

HEY!!! There will be no tackling of War and Peace!!! It should be embraced for the wonder of the world that it is. :D
Hello again Hay and others ! :)

Aside from that.....Don Quixote is mine.

Welcome back True nice to see you again.
Don't worry about the book I am embracing it.

Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norell.

Got a gift card for Christmas that I think I'll use to get it.

Oh so many, too many to list.

But one I really, really, really want to (re)read is LotR, in its entirety.

Cheers

Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell. I just purchased the red edition with the little sticker B&N sent me. 20% off!

Read it. Wasn't impressed. Probably my "want to" would be either the new Harry Potter book or the new Jim Butcher book when they come out. That is, if I can ever get to the bottom of my PRESENT TBR stack!

Mine will have to be Ulysses. Read the first couple of pages and put it down, thinking that I'll pick it up again later when I'm in the appropriate mood. Needless to say, that mood never came round. Its not really bedtime read is it? More like a "clear your desk and make room for study guides" kind of read.
