3 year old is teased by a 5 year old. Parents of the 3 year force her to face the 5 year old and to beat him up. Parents record it. What is this world coming to??  Personally, I think I'll hide in CDA's bunker and hope that after a mutual-exchange nuclear strike, that the only thing that will be left is the bunker survivors and cockroaches.:D

Any thoughts?

A Fort Hood soldier and his wife have been accused of injury to a child for allegedly forcing their 3-year-old daughter to beat up an older boy as they videotaped it, Killeen police said.

Dennis Michael Bittinger, 22, was arrested Wednesday and his wife, Rhonda Nicole Bittinger, 23, was taken into custody Thursday, police said.

The fight allegedly occurred Saturday while the couple babysat for the 5-year-old son of a friend, police said. When the boy's mother arrived to pick him up, she turned on the couple's video camera, which had previously been used to tape the children playing.

Can't wait til this little girl gets to kindergarten:rolleyes: "MY daddy says I can beat up anyone I want to!" Wouldn't you like to be HER teacher?

LOL-You guys are an absolute riot. I'm horrified that the girl has parents like this because as you've all pointed out, she's on the road to trouble. The sad thing is, they probably believe they did nothing wrong.

What do you guys think of one of our former school principals who if parents complained that their children were being bullied (which indeed they were) would tell you that your child was the one with the problem - they had a victim mentality?

That people are the same all over the world! I've heard this one used a lot.."your kid just needs to toughen up"..from a youth teacher at church no less! There's a certain element of "I don't want to have to deal with this" involved..shirking responsibilty on the part of adults in charge..whether that's teachers or parents, or whoever.

That was definitely the case here, ABC. Things were absolutely out of control and the bullies ran the show.

Is that recent news, Poppy? Not the guy who put the tennis ball in his student's mouth?

That's still a major problem in our high schools. Our school runs a "Zero Tolerance for Bullying" programme, so it's not that bad at ours, but the North Island schools seem to breed bullies. Just a few weeks ago a 12 year old girl commited suicide because she was getting text bullied. Getting rid of bullies really needs to be the main focus of a lot of NZ schools

No, actually it was just a very small local school with an imcompetent headmaster.
But now you mention it, we have had a few cases lately. Bullying is one of those things that makes me see very bright red. The text- bully/suicide thing is horrible. That was the second case in that town wasn't it?
Things are great in our school now with zero-tolerance, but what happened to my eldest son has probably had long-term effects on him. It's so hard to do anything about, when you don't get teacher support, because parental interference just makes the bullying worse. My son is now a gentle giant but would certainly stand up for himself very ably if necessary.

Over here, we call the headmaster a principal. Incompetence IS a requirement, at least, as much as I can tell.

The problem Isabel, is that this type of retardation is not usally visible until it's too late and they're already parents;) If nothing else, these folks could use mandatory parenting classes.

I am floored at how people can screw up so much in this country and still get by. Just think of the dysfunction in that household. I'd hate to know what they do if the kids crosses them or if they are cut off in traffic.
