Wasn't really sure where to post this exactly, but this seems about the closest sub forum.
I already have the main characters with story, plot, art, and some of the side characters. This series already has a somewhat known name from gaming, so its not completely unheard of.
What I need is a writer, and I'm giving them total freedom other than the plot and main character's stories, come up with your own characters, sub plots. I have enough art for 10 covers, if not more. You will be the first published writer for this series, no other publications exist.
The main reason I'm doing this is because I want to focus on science fiction. For this series, I want a partner that is passionate, yet easy to get along with and skilled obviously. I don't expect the blunt of the profit considering I'm not writing this, but we'll negotiate that later.
Story
The name Eve of Ebon refers to the days of Ebon, when the ancient brood, a distant more primal cousin to the vampire, awaken from their frozen slumber during the warmest summers every 21 years. The Ebon is an entire week of darkness, as the brood block out the sun completely with their massive swarm, gorging on the people of Iden before returning to hibernation.
However, unlike previous awakenings, humanity has grown to a force that actually threatens the vampire legion of Niven for once, amassing an army over twenty times that of the once reigning vampire Legion. A temporary truce is made between humanity and vampires to stop the brood and end the war. Humanity promises not to attack Niven if they will assist in the brood's demise.
The truce involves a wild plan that requires a specific group of warriors. The Siven, born of vampire and human blood, are the only ones who can transverse the daylight scorns and use the power of darkness on a journey to destroy the Brood in their slumber. The night awaits and the eve approaches... The Eve of Ebon.
Now, that being the main plot, there is plenty of side or character driven stories. The three main characters below are interesting in that they're not human or vampire, however powerful, they're hated by both in most cases, but ironically, now, they are needed to bring peace to the entire region.
Main Characters
Arcasin's massive sword stems from the secretive vampire fighting style know as "Daytora" which means-power from the ancients. The style is normally reserved for full vampires, and those of elder blood at that. Only a few remain that understand the combat style fully.
Arcasin's father was an ancient vampire, and taught him the vicious style of offensive combat. It teaches to abandon defense for hyper aggressive attacks, bashing through feeble shields and driving an opponent's block attempt straight through their bodies. Arcasin has a savage thirst for human blood despite being only half vampire, yet he remains loyal to his human mother's family. Arcasin's father allowed him to live a life of wealth and power, keeping his secret human lineage away from others in his clan.
Unlike other vampire hybrids that enjoy the advantages of both bloodlines, Norroth only received partial sunlight tolerance. As a child, he and his mother's vampire lineage was exposed by humans and they were forced to perform the religious "Unity of Light." They endured the sunlight slowly, stripping away their articles of clothing until death. Norroth's partial sunlight tolerance spared his life, but his full blooded vampire mother was not as fortunate. After nearly a week of torture, Norroth's skin was charred black to point of full sunlight resistance. He was eventually found by the elite ghostly vampire clan known as The Devos, the vampire Legion's ghostly rangers of the winter tundra. There he was raised as one of their own and trained in the clan's secret arts of war, specifically spear combat and close quarter tactics. Devos are known experts in dispatching Lycans and protect a critical border that separates vampire territory their packs. Devos are the special forces of vampire army.
Vespia. The blue widow cometh. She does not bring news or offerings, but simply death and sadness to those that oppose her. Part human witch, part vampire, Vespia is a trained assassin that hails from the elite Sarrel forest, now working as a mercenary for the right price. She was once a call girl that served the vampire aristocrats until one night she was brutally tortured for her partial human bloodline. Unfortunately for her tormentors, her sorcerer bloodline was revealed that night, allowing her to wield the power of ice. In her rage, she calls upon this lineage to create anything from ice blades to arrows, and even small storms that blanket enemies with shrapnel of ice. After being arrested for killing her wealthy tormentors, she was rescued by Romel, leader of the vampire assassins in Sarrel for her unique abilities. Full sunlight tolerance, vampire speed and power, and the ability to summon ice weaponry, she is by far one the most feared assassins in Iden, Vespia has earned the nickname "The Blue Widow" after she killed her tormentors, her skin turned blue, and never returned to it's original color.
That's it, other than the above, you can go have a blast with after we negotiate terms. We don't have to start the series right before the brood awakening, we can go back years if need be and explain how humanity amassed such a massive force or the clan wars within the vampire stronghold, or any of the main characters could have a book themselves.
