just today i realized my new pet peeve. me and my hubby were eating, and he scratched his fork on his glass plate on accident. oh it made the most horrible sound, i couldnt explain how pissed annoyed and upset it made me. alot things like this bother me, like the popping of those dumb plastic air bubble things for packaging, or the screeach of tires. or rubber burning and hair burn smell. the feeling of velvet, god i hate it! so whats yours? what peeves you?

Eating sounds. Cannot stand them - drives me absolutely mad.

Cheers, Martin
yeah hate em too.

what else i hate is:
tea pot whistle.
people who keep repeating when they talk.
cricket chirping....its not relaxing.
many people talking at once.....gives me a headache.
people who keep repeating when they talk.
ripping sounds.
people who keep repeating when they talk.
tap dance sounds.
dripping faucets.

eating sounds is definitely the absolute worst for me. i can't deal. but country music is high on my annoyance list, and so is barking dogs. i have to admit, i like most of the sounds that you guys have mentioned

My pet hate is being nice to someone and them throwing it back in your face. Winds me up something chronic. It doesn't cost anything to smile people!!!!

A couple of mine are:
- going into a store with 25 registers, only two of which are open.
- people who pay for something which costs less than $10 with a credit card.
- cell phones (especially when they are in the hands of somebody who should be watching the road).
- also people who repeat themselves.
- people who don't use "bring" and "take" properly.
I could go on, but you get the idea.

funes, you sound like me, too much is annoying. people are so dumb. about the registers, og my, that annoys me as well. oh and cells yeah been in a car accident because of a woman with her cell. i could have died! what an idiot! :)

I'm not that annoyed by most things, but someone kicking the back of my chair makes me want to punch them in the face (when I get annoyed, I definitely have reached my limit). Note, I've never punched anyone in the face, but I can't hardly stand having the back of my chair kicked. I also hate loud bass coming through the walls of my apartment from my neighbor's apartments and people sitting around chatting at work while there is stuff to do.

Everybody hates this, but I'll mention it none the less:

I can live with a cell phone going off in the cinema, but when that person actually goes out of his/her way, squirming in their seats, to grab it and answer it, I go slightly mad.

Cheers, Martin

People here have developed 2 grammatical quirks, which are driving me completely mad:

's to make something plural. Sometimes they just put an ' in randomly in words.

Quotation marks EVERYWHERE.

Also, if you are going to go to the trouble of painting something on the side of a building, don't you think you should make sure it's spelled correctly first? It's going to be there awhile.

The one I am having right NOW!!!!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR :D

I really hate it when you can't find something. It winds me up something terrible!!! I had something in my hand. I was holding it just a damn moment ago and now I can't find it and you have no idea how much it's pissing me off!!!! :D lol

<--continues to look and swear :D

**EDIT**

I found it and am a happy bunny again :D And, I stopped swearing :D

Stuff like that tends to turn up in my shoes... I lead a strange, strange life :)

Kaz - the 3 words I like to hear most in the world... 'You were/are right' :D In reply I tend to nod sagely and murmur 'I know..'

I can't stand the words 'yes dear'
Its generally because people say it when they're not paying any attention to what your saying!
