i just saw this live action version (directed by P.J. Hogan)
and its great, i thought i was simply going to be a remake of the classic disney movie, but its a lot more, an adaptation of the original book, which i never read, now that i think of it i guess i just never thought there was to be anything more than what was portrayed in the disney movie, but this movie and the reviews i have found in amazon secures a place in my to read list for this book, it seems to be lets say of a little more mature content that i thought.

its an amazing movie, i really enjoy it, and im pretty sure i would loved as a kid, if you have skiped this one for being for kids you should give it a go. it has a solid script and well developed characters and the lead actors have great charisma, acting in general its pretty good, for the first minutes it gives the impression its going to be a dull disneylike live action movie, but after that it becomes a really great movie, wouldnt mind to add it to my collection.
maybe i sound to entusiastic about this one, but its because it really outrun my expectations.

have you seen it, and read the book, let me know what do you think.

I loved that movie, too. I'm a huge Peter Pan fan and was thus very much hoping that they would stay faithful to the book, this time. I didn't like the Disney version but when I saw this beautiful movie, I was just in awe.

They did interpret the love story between Peter and Wendy a little different than in the book but other than that, it's the book come to life, which is more than I was ever hoping for.

I especially liked the way the actors look - Jeremy Sumpter is the perfect peter, what with that mischievous grin of his. And Rachel Hurd-Wood is an extremely pretty Wendy! The only thing that was a little weird is that Peter is the only American one in the movie.

Still, one of my favourite movie adaptations and definitely the best Peter Pan movie ever made!!!
