Physics

I'm looking at taking a machinist or industrial mechanics course and was wondering what would be a good physics book to get a jump on what I would be studying in the course?

Any algebra-based intro to physics book should suit you well. Basically you want a high school textbook.

I found one called Physics Vol 1 4th edition that looked like it might be all right. Are you familiar with it?

Nope. That title is generic enough to cover probably a dozen textbooks. As long as it doesn't nonsense like this, it will be fine.

You might want to get the teacher's edition so you have the answers since you're doing self-study.

Wow, well if it's that bad I can use it in the wood stove. Its only $10 on Amazon so I'll give it a try.
