I am new to this forum, and look forward to talking to other people who love a good read.
My first post is to ask for help with a book title and author. I want to locate a book but cannot remember the title or author (I read it years ago).
It was a fantasy/adventure/sci-fi book about a colony who lived near the centre of the earth and had been drilling outwards towards the surface for years. I think water was scarce and therefore valuable. I think there was also some sabotaging (spelling?) going on, trying to stop the drill getting to the surface. In the end it did make it to the surface. The story was about a couple of young technicians. I know this isnt much of a description, but would anyone have any idea what it is?
