I'm sorely disappointed. All that and no inclusion of Moulin Rouge, which I think is one of the most awful movies in existence and makes no sense and the people involved were so talentless that they could only use songs that were already written and performed many times better?

*runs out of breath*

I hate Moulin Rouge. I hate it, hate it, hate it. What annoys me most of all is someone dying from tuberculosis is able to sing like that--hardly likely. If it was bad enough that she was dying, she would be coughing too hard to do anything. Yet I am the only person in the universe who does not adore said movie. It makes me so mad.

And I don't think Forrest Gump is overrated. That movie is flippin' awesome and Hanks did a great job of making the character believable and lovable.

Moulin Rouge was... odd. On the whole I liked it (mainly for the gorgeous sets and stylish camerawork), but some of those musical numbers were ghastly. The can-can sequence stands out as the most embarrassing. I liked the idea of modern-day music used in a period setting, even if some of it was a bit much. A combination of Smells Like Teen Spirit and Lady Marmalade? No thanks ;).

As for American Beauty, I thought it was merely okay. I'll admit that it's been years since I saw it, but I recall thinking the story was far-fetched and the characters irritating... despite some great work from Kevin Spacey and Annette Bening. I'd like to view the film a second time to see if my opinions will/will not change, but so far I'll stick to the less outlandish but far more intriguing "Six Feet Under".

I think I'm one of the only people in the world who detests Wizard of Oz. Always have. I don't have any clue why but I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who is bored by it.
Fantasia is SO overrated. I remember watching it probably at 20 different daycares as a kid and thinking "What the ___ is this??!!" every time.
I have odd tendencies to despise classic movies

I think Wizard of Oz was a good book and a bad movie. I like the Emerald City, and I liked Somewhere Over the Rainbow--that's it.

As for Moulin Rouge...no. Just no. Its musical numbers were recycled, and the plot was garbage. The sets were pretty, but that was the only good thing about it. And the sets on other movies--Phantom of the Opera, for one--were just as good or better, and they actually have a decent plot/characters/music/acting/everything else in a good movie to go along with it.
