Can our glamorous mods take a more proactive approach to moderating and move obvious threads to more suitable locations? Go on, consider that one and reject it.

Mehastings did merge the two P.G. Wodehouse threads which sprang up simultaneously. But yes, I too would like to see more of this, particularly merging duplicate threads (Marquez is another one). Just my mania for neatness I suppose.

Shade - thank you for your polite feedback.

Speaking personally, all moderating duties, including merging threads, depend on how much time I have available, which at the moment is not much. By the time I've removed some spam and PMed the people involved, corrected some thread titles, answered some queries, welcomed a few newbies and read through the threads, I've usually run out of time. No doubt it's similar for the other mods.

Still, I will try to keep more of an eye on the "merging threads" issue.

Hello, all moderators. Any chance of ridding the forum of hijacking and ongoing vendettas carried on in the threads?

What? And I'm missing all of these? Occlith, where are these threads? :)

I'd like to acknowledge the incredible amount of work that goes into keeping a forum of this size and activity trim and proper. Even a forum that goes all out to be unmoderated will recognize that at the very least *some* form of 'moderation' has to exist to ensure things don't get out of hand.

So good job moderators and keep it up.

But about that last thread... :)

I'd just like to say "good job!" to the moderators. It isn't easy, it requires a special person to put up with all the "busywork" not to mention loveable types like me.:p

Seriously, it's not hard when little happens.

Hmmm, guess that I haven't noticed that there has been a drop off in activity. Then again, the May book of the month only has 13 posts.

I would like to thank the moderators for the job they perform. Usually it is a thankless task and all they see is criticism.

Good job......Mods.

Thanks to Halo for putting a stop to the madness on one thread, but I think the offending posts should be deleted.

Well, they were not in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy section. ;) I'll send you a PM.

Ah... stalker! :)

I join all other sections of the forum as well, you know (except maybe Testing and Children's books) - I'm not exactly exclusive to scifi/fantasy. But somehow I miss all those threads.

The posts in this thread have now been deleted.

For those who have posted thanks and positive feedback for us mods - thank you! It means a lot to us. :)
