Promising new books/authors

What new books/authors have catched your attention as of late? Here is one that I'm about to purchase, can't wait.

The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz.

As well as being an author myself, I'm also an editor at a small Candian press and they have some great new authors emerging.

Anita Davison is one which is worth looking out for. Her debut release, Duking Days Rebellion is doing very well. Set in the turbulant times of James II in England. There is a sequel out this year.

Also I enjoyed the debut novel of UK author Milly Johnson, The Yorkshire Pudding Club. I'll be buying her next book.
