Puffin Post - Who Remembers?

I just wondered if anyone rememered Puffin Post and what were your thoughts on it?. I remember it when I was at school and thought it was a great idea to get children introduced to books.

If you joined the Puffin Club you would get a Puffin Post once a quarter - something very special to receive through the letter box. On the back cover - some of the latest puffin books published, inside - articles, stories, reviews, competitions, cartoons and illustrations, & general food for the imagination.

Do you know if you were a member ?

What did you think of it if you were?

There was also Chip Club, at least in Scotland. If it wasn't just Scotland then my hazy memory suggests it may have been either another edition of Puffin Post, specifically aimed at older kids. Or, perhaps younger.

Oh man, those things were cool. They also had a "hot off the presses" smell that was neat. I use to look forward to those things.
