The title means "See you tomorrow, comrades" and it shows Portugal and the struggle of the communist party to throw down the dictatorship we had under Salazar's rule. It depicts the conditions of the poor people, specially in the countryside, and the struggle of all of those (inside and outside the CP) who fought for better conditions, along with some critics to the Communist Party itself.
The book was written by Manuel Tiago, a pseudonym (sp?) of Álvaro Cunhal, one the most import communist activist of my country (Portugal).
I like it a lot, although I got to a point where I was a bit confused with so many names and situations. At that point I had to concentrate myself to remember all the character's names. But I think it's a really good book.
Or just create a thread for the last book you read, if there's not a thread for it, and review it there.
I should say that we've had threads in the past of this nature and a public vote was held to close them as it was felt it was better to have individual threads for books rather than have everything tucked in one place. So, with that in mind, thread closed.
