;) Hi Everyone--

This is my first time (posting) at The Book Forum. My debut novel, Pattern of Violence by C. Hyytinen is currently available to the public and thought I'd shamelessly try to drum up some sales. It is a suspense thriller. Hope someone will give it a try and let me know what you think. Please be gentle with me...I'm sensitive and this is my first-born. I'm currently working on a scientific thriller. What's everyone else working on???

Hi hyyt,

Are you Finnish?

Do you have any sample of the work? It's bad enough trying to judge a book by its cover nevermind it's title. :)

I notice from your profile that you don't have a site promoting your book.

What's everyone else working on?

I'm working on a novel about accidents. I'm also working on an interactive fiction game and also planning for another set in Medieval Romania. I'm also writing short biographies for my website. And random jottings. Too much!

Sounds like you have a lot going on! Interesting stuff! I look forward to learning more about everyones writing endeavors. My site is now listed in my profile. It is www.chyytinen.com. And no, I'm not Finnish (But my husband is) Below is the back cover blurb to Pattern of Violence:

Top-notch homicide detective and single mom, Maria Sanchez, is about to face her most formidable foe. A serial killer is wreaking havoc in the streets of Minneapolis--abducting, torturing, and killing his victims; children of the community. Can she find the killer before the unthinkable happens?

Dubbed the "River Rat" by the media because his victims are always found floating in the Mississippi River, this maniac is on a mission. Maria and her partner Joe have a deadline to meet and need to do it before he strikes again.

Then Theresa doesn’t come home from school one day… Detective Sanchez is in for the fight for her life and that of her only child when she accidentally encounters the killer’s lair where her daughter is being held. Everything comes crashing down around her as her own fate, and that of her only child, is ultimately determined by the dead bodies surrounding her…and the gun pointed at her chest

I'm ashamed to admit I've seen Lord of the G-strings.

Congrats on the book! How was the publishing experience?

Thanks! The publishing experience was difficult at times...but for the most part went pretty well. I definitely learned a lot!
