Hello, guys who like comedy,

I was laughing 'to death' (maybe not standard,) when I was watching the series, my family . I desperately need your advices: are there any other TV series just like this one? (I cannot bear some kind like keeping up appearances .)

plus, the oldest son (what is his name?) in my family , though his father said he was kinda idot, is such a funny guy. :D I liked the father and mother as well.

Whatever, this is my current LOVE. ;)

(I am wondering: are Britains in real life as, at least, humorous as those people in my family ? Can I by any chace to come across some of them? )

I'm British and i'm not at ALL humorous. The less laughing the better!

Regards
Silly ( not really silly ) Wabbit

Yes, a cool gentleman. Now, dear lady, I must depart ( in a very non-funny way ) of coarse!

*bows deeply*

Silly ( very serious ) Wabbit

Seeing as the humour in My Family comes from them all being quite mean to each other, you'd probably find my own family fecking hilarious. I think my parents viewed having children as an easy way to create comedy stooges, and felt that they should get their money's worth while we were still dumb enough to be easily confused, and short enough to be unable to fight back effectively.

I have since learned that the Mysterons do not live in Epping Forest, I was not really enrolled in Pirate Parrot School, nor was my father a pirate, and 'having the hump' does not mean you need to do a poo. :(

Dear Litany, Iiiiiiiii am confused. "the humour in My Family comes from them all being quite mean to each other", if it is so, then humour in Seinfield could be even worse??

Arrrrrrr, faint.

well, at least I become to know a little little bit of how is humour in british family like. and Thank you for that! :D

Well if you're asking for comedy in the same vein as 'My Family':

'My Hero' (which over here tends to be on when My Family isn't).

Do you want us Brits to go on? It can be arranged.

I'm going to recommend Father Ted, it's Irish though, but it's hilarious. One of the funniest things ever created.

I don't agree about My Hero. It's very limp and inoffensive and not at all like My Family. I find it a bit bland.

The Eurovision Song Contest is on soon. Ever heard of Terry Wogan? Now that's comedy entertainment. And I've still got last year's death polka entry from Austria going round in my head. That song rock. I think the Eurovision site took the video down, but the translation of the words is here.

How about One Foot in the Grave? Victor Meldrew has the same bleak outlook on life that the dad from My Family has.

Alf Pauer (sp?) was quality. Even better was Michalis Frantiskis theyear earlier with the brilliant song called S.A.G.A.P.O.. Sadly I'm going to miss the Eurovision this year. :(

Close. Poier. He was excellent, wasn't he? I was almost in tears. He really should have won.

My Family is on BBC1 and UKGold. Dunno the days and times though.
