Red Hat recommends....?

The nice people at Red Hat software have a list of books recommended for summer reading here. Some stuff there I wouldn't have expected to see.

Are Linux users more literate? :p (Just a joke...)

hmm interesting list. i would definitely look at the anthony bourdain one. i loved cook's tour, book and tv series, but i've never read his fiction. i have a little crush on him to be honest.

hehe, me too. ;)

I have a Debian box but it's not my workstation. Although my workstation is a Deb based Distro - Ubuntu. I've used most of the major distros at one time or another.

How can a Linux Distro release a book list and not include Just for Fun: The Story of an Accidental Revolutionary?!

I used to run Red Hat then Mandrake, but both now have retired to the Gray Havens. Fun while it lasted, and have to admit that neither inspired me to pick up any new books. After sitting around for hours compiling new updates to stuff like KDE, I got more sleep than reading time.

I have always wanted to get The Art of Computer Programming. And I'd advise (if you'd listen) not to bother with Curious Incident. :)

Compilling new updates? Been a while since you ran Linux I guess? I haven't needed to compile a single package in Ubuntu. All bin and ready to go.
