My friend and I were talking the other day about nothing important and everything important..just bs conversation..
he mentioned something about getting a better camera because of an insignficant reason..and I told him he was getting greedy.
My brain then started to drift to relate his greediness with an analogy. I tried to think of a good allegory, old myth, classic story with a character who was good natured but then became greedy, but nothing came to mind..which sucked, because the theme of greed is in a million stories throughout history.
So..after having a brain lapse, I thought of something that would be a cool resource for people!
What if there was something on the internet..called, like, "The Theme Finder"...or "Literature Stories found by Theme" or "Find stories by Theme"...and then there would be a search button, and once you got your results..it would show a bunch of classic literature stories that revealed any sort of concept of what you typed in. So, for example, if I typed in 'greed', there would be a bunch of search results for stories who had characters or themes of that nature.
Does a site out there on the internet exist like this? Or does anyone know of a resource like this that is already on the net? If not, I could have myself a good idea here...
