Welcome tot he world of Jeffery Deaver. Where plot twists are everywhere.

Roadside Crosses is a very unique book, since it delves into the depth of PC's and Internet alike. The main character,Kathryn Dance, has to track down a teenager who kills and avoids detection by using MMO skills from an online game called Dimension Quest. Oh and Kathryn Dance is a person who reads body language. She determines whether a person is lying or not.

I really liked this book. The characters were very likable and also had dashes of humor and intellectual conversations. The suspense was also the high point of this novel. Although Kathryn is not one of the greatest protagonists of all time, she is tolerable. Lets not forget about the unpredictability either.

My final rating::star5:

P.S.: This is the sequel to the book, The Sleeping Doll

I cannot remember the title, but you are probably familiar with it, as it was Jeffrey Deaver novel. It was about an FBI handwriting analyst trying to catch this serial killer. I believe it was something like The Devil's Cross, but not sure. Anyway it was a great book. Is this newone as good as that? If it is I will buy it, even though it is somewhat expensive here as it is new, imported book, unlike second-hand and library books I usually read.

I loved this book,it's in my top 5 favorites.The villain wasn't as cool as Daniel Pell(The villain from the first book,The Sleeping Doll)though,but he always made you keep thinking "What are you going to do next?"

Falcon(My nickname for ya chiangmaifalcon),it's available in soft back for,I estimate $6-9,at your local bookstore.

Thanks Butcher. The books here are a little more expensive as they are imported and therefore have shipping charges, but in this case I will overcome my usual cheapness and purchase this novel, based on your recommendation. Perhaps I can even find this Sleeping Doll book at used book shop.

What you're talking about is The Devil's Teardrop. I haven't read what it's about but I have seen on the shelves from time to time. And it sounds interesting from what you have said. I'll be sure to look into it.

I loved it but this is just my opinion. Partly I enjoyed it because it has a lot of info about handwriting analysis, which I have an interest in, and I actually learned things about this I did not know from this novel. Also a very suspenseful story and a very likable hero.
