Rockstar: Supernova

I loved Rockstar INXS. Everyone on the show was simply a brilliant performer, and the performances shown were really good. I mean really *really* good. I've recommended the show to everyone I know.

So naturally I was really psyched up about the new seaon. I just watched the performance (half of it - bad copy) and the results show, and my initial reaction was: boring.

There were a few good performers, but at least half of them was poor, and the results show was the only Rockstar episode that I actually got up from my seat and do stuff while it was still running. All of the bottom three were so poor that I'd have sent them all home. At least in Rockstar INXS you actually had a hard time sending people back cause they all performed so well at the elimination. Not here.

There was no chemistry between Supernova and Dave Navarro, and the performers were poor compared to last year's batch, and the guy performers took every opportunity to wrap their arms around Brooke Burke in a terribly transparent attempt at some skin time. A little tasteless, methinks.

Terribly disappointing. Anyone else watched it?

I tried to make a thread of this, but it ended up in some thread where it shouldn't have been. Needless to say, no one said anything and must have presumed it was of my usual posting nature. With that being said, I'm glad that Mike is gone, he had no talent at all. I don't know what kind of fan base will turn out for this group, though anything with a metallica guy can't be all that bad.
