Romance recommendations.

I didn't see a section for romance books on here, so I thought I would put this in the "general" section. I like the romance in Anne Rice's books, but I figured that it's time to move on and read about real life romantic escapades and depictions, etc.

If anyone could recommend any good romance novels or series, I would greatly appreciate it

Even better than romance novels, in my opinion, are books that deal with relationships.

However, I quite enjoyed Vikram Seth's An Equal Music.

If you think you'd like a funny romantic adventure series, Elizabeth Peters' "Amelia Peabody" series is very entertaining. They're billed as mysteries, but they're mystery-comedy-historical-adventure-romances all rolled into one delightful package.

Or you might prefer the books she publishes under the name Barbara Michaels, which combine romance with the supernatural.

Not really my field of expertise, but try The Sound of Waves by Yukio Mishima It's about first love and is rather beautiful.

Try Jennifer Crusie! She writes intelligent romance with lots of humor and just the right amount of sex. Welcome to Temptation is a good start.

I would heartily recommend the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, beginning with Outlander (aka Cross Stitch):
