I know there is a movie and tv show database that had a message board for such things called Internet Movie Database (us.imdb.com). I was wondering if maybe they had something like that for mystery books or books in general.

It's sort of like walking into a bank and thinking, "you know what would be nice, if there was somewhere I could put all of my money instead of always carrying it around with me."

:p

That's not what I think of when I walk into a bank.

I once heard a recording of a guy prank-callling directory assistance to ask for the number to that place where you can call to get someone's phone number.

"Yes... you're there now."
"Where?"
"Directory assistance."
"Right. And I'm calling you to get the number to that place you can call to find out someone's phone number."
"411."
"Great, thanks! I'll just call them and ask if -"
"But YOU'RE HERE NOW. Just ask me for the number."
"Great. So what's the number to that place where you can call..."
...etc etc.

A message board for mystery books? Books in general? That's just crazy talk. No such thing anywhere. Where do you people come up with this stuff?

I wonder if lesliecollins' post is a subtly snarky comment on how quiet we can get. If so, well-played. If not, lurk moar.
