Sam Sykes

One third of my way through the Tome of the Undergates, and I must admit to being impressed. Actioned packed though it is the characterisation is powerful and descriptive and so far the reading matches the anticipation.
I find it hard to find good epic Fantasy these days, but Sam Sykes is an author to watch.
Has anybody read this book yet? If so what are your thoughts?
