Satellite TV: Directv or The Dish Network

I have Directv and I'm very unhappy about the service I receive. When I spend money, I like bang for my bucks. When I look at what the Dish Network is offering, I think they may offer more bang for my bucks then Directv, especially their HD package. To make things worse, Directv has a policy about keeping their customers in the dark, that is to say that they don’t keep their customers informed about programming changes until they happened yesterday.

I would like to hear from people that subscribe to the Dish Network. What do you think about the service you’re getting? Any problems?

Also, has anyone changed from one service to another? If so, then why?

I have Dish Network and I am very pleased with it. They give advance warning if a network is changing, or if their rates are increasing, whatever. Customer service is very helpful, although I haven't had many problems anyway. The one problem I did have was dealt with very patiently and competently. I also like their selection of networks for each package. There are a couple of networks that I love but couldn't get with DirectTV in the comparable package.
