i need some help! i read a book over and over when i was a child, and would like to find it to read to my children, but i can't remember the title or author. i read it when i was 9 or 10, so it would have been in the late 80's early 90's.
it was a fantasy book of short stories and on the cover was a boy riding in a leaf over the sea of dreams to the tooth fairie's castle. some of the stories included a princess who's cat was her guardian and she cut his whiskers off. as punishment, he made her hair scream so she could never have a moment of silence. then there was a boy who took his legs for granted so they popped off his body and ran away. then there was a story about a kelpie. some kid wanted to be shrunk so he could live in a tiny crevice in some rocks.
i've posted this in the sci-fi/fantasy section as well, so hopefully someone can help me with the title and author! i'd really love to have this book back in my collection.
