So I'm working on a short story and coming close to finishing the second page, but the truth is that I came close to scrapping it and starting all over again. The first two pages (which is about the charcter's introduction to religion) fleshes them out before jumping into the main story. The problem is, it seem more rubbish then anything and I HAVE ideas, but it's hard for me to write anything down, or if I do, go 2-3 pages before giving it up and procrastinating for a few month and getting ideas, and writing them down, but not doing anything with them.
Does anyone have this problem and have any suggestions what to do about it?
Also my character has a mainstream knowlegde of religion, but I don't. So do I need to do a huge giant study of every religion out there, or is there a faster way to deal with this. And I mean at least every religion old and new. Give or take.
