Some time ago I read a sci fi series that i particuarly enjoyed, however i've forgotten the name of the series and the author. It takes place in the future, mankind created an interplanetary computer system that took control of everything and started changing humanity physicaly. The protagonists are trying to regain control of the computer system, which they do at the end of the last book. It requires them to correctly sing the 12 days of christmas song at some computer hub somewhere in the solar system. that's all that i can remember unfortunately, any help would be appreciated.
