Sexist writers

It's usualy male writer who have the "macho" type;Let say Wilbur Smith for exemple doesn't present women with much of a brain.Pretty bimbo's,sometime tough,but mainly decortive.
But some female writers are likewise on there presentation of men.Ellis Peters in her series on egyptes show the men as gently stupid,nice but note too bright.I found it really annoying but it also help me to imagine the others side,like being a girl and reading Dick Francis and co.
I be honest and say i was a fan of her anyway.

So who would be the most sexist?
Appart from one of the lads from the forum,Mr-that-crap-sucks!

I'll overlook your non-literary, non-literate language and speak to the question.

Do you mean Elizabeth Peters and the Emerson-Peabody series with the Egyptian archaeologists? If you do, you have it wrong. Both Emerson (male) and son Ramses are quite as intelligent, daring and resourceful as Peabody (female). Of course, they all misunderstand each other at times, but that is part of the fun - and sometimes necessary to the plot. The stories, especially later in the series, are told by various members of the family. Peabody's ego is sometimes amazingly pumped up, but surely that is as allowable in a woman as it is in a man.

I have tried those spellcheker and my screen goes all red,like a chrismass tree.If all of you are so upset by my language, just put me on your ignore list.Scrabble fan's !

That would be the spellchecker working, then.

I for one enjoy your posts, but they would be a lot easier to read if I didn't have to scratch my head every three words and guess at what you mean. I realize English isn't your native language (it's not mine either) but that's all the more reason to try and get it right; you'll never improve if you don't try.

To be honest and to my great shame,i think i'am event worst in French!!
It started very early,i went to lot's of pediatrist,analysist,...who found me perfectly sane,or at least no dyslexia.That's went i started painting,no spelling probleme then.
Thanks again ,your English is very good(maybe it would not be to much of a compliment coming from me!) I shall try to be more careful,and keep it short.
 
Hmm, reminds me a little of something someone said about The Bell Jar, in that it would be a misogynistic novel, had each sex not been portrayed in exactly the same demeaning way...

It's a vague moral dilemma whether or not women deserve a shot at being a little sexist...as you say, saliotthomas, at least such things allow men to see what women have to deal with.

But...is it sexist to portray how you see the world, if you happen to see the world by way of all women/men being inferior to the opposite sex? Or does it have to be malicious? It's a very fine distinction but is it fair to object to a portrayal of a certain person's perception? Heh, perhaps the sexists would take offense at our portrayal of sexists...

I just wanted to point that the sexist isn't always the male(busybody does not agree!)but your view goes far further.bravo!

I'd have to nominate Kinky Friedman and his writing of Greenwich Killing Time. The book is a classic private detective trying to solve a murder on a dark evening. You know the story. It is laced with comments about women, gays, and liberals. The one redeeming value of the book is that it is a compelling read and includes cigars.
