His house is in Stratford upon avon. This is a picture I took when I went on holiday there. We visited his house and went inside it. People arn't allowed to take pictures of inside the house.

I'd like to catch a play there once in my life. Currently, I can see some at the Miller Outdoor Theater here, but I'm expecting better accents and less mosquitos in Stratford.

About couple of years ago, I went there too. It was really interesting to see Shakespeare lived there. I tried to imagine he wrote his plays in his house!!

Thank you, Rainbowgurl, I mean it, for this pic.

Cannot believe it. Is that the house where Shakespeare lived??!!

BTw, your avatar tells me that you did not sound very cheerful. maybe wrong, anyway.

best wishes for you, :)

Heh, thats no problem, I'm glad you like the picture. Yes it is where Shakespeare lived. Are you a fan of Shakespeare?

I've gone to many writers houses in the past, I just don't know who some were lol.

I remember another past writer was Beatrix Potter... She was a famous childrens writer. I have a big book of all her stories in :p

Again inside this house I was not allowed to take any pictures! I wonder why that is... Maybe they are scared that photoes may show the spirit or something.

I really like her house, inside looks very nice and the area is where she got the ideas for her stories, like the pub, we had drinks in there, and many famous people have been in that pub too. Its a very pretty area. It's in Cumbria if you ever think of going. I'll post a picture of her house on later if I can find a decent one, without me in it from when I was 5 :p

Don't know if Shakespare's house had any influcence on his writing, but if it did, then certainly many current writers should go there and make advantage of that. ;) From his plays, I mostly like "A midsummer night dream" and "Richard III". And I don't like the play in which Joan D'Arc is portrayed. Though I can understand why he described her as such a despicable person, I don't approve it.

Not to stray from Shakespere. But, if you do want something good dealing with Joan D'Arc.....try Saint Joan by George Bernard Shaw. Brilliant man, satire throughout, not only smooth writing but very funny as well.
