Sorry this took a day longer, Gem! :eek:

Stewart, the ladies (and I) want to talk to you, and plan to grill you on important topics such as BAR font size, and your lack of patience for Stewart celebratory threads. :)

So to celebrate your newly bought headset, Gem has asked me to host this again as quickly as you can come on so we can chat.

Now anyone is welcome, even if you don't have a headset you can join in our text chat in skype.

Ensure though that you download the latest Skype 3 beta, which Gem informed me about, as it supports up to 10 participants in the conference call.

Let me know if you are okay this weekend.

Sunday would be good for me - but let me know when you are available, and we'll have to wait and see see whether the others are around too. Libre said he would try and stop by if he's available as well - so we'll have a new victim to play with :D , nah just kidding Libre, we're all very nice, ahem.

Stewart, are you going to be available? After all, this is being held in your honour ;) .
 
of course, we can grill him on ideas to get this place hopping again! i know he'll have good ideas.

of course the past few days it has been a bit more active again.

i think a lot of the inactivity is due to school starting, either for college and high school students or the parents of any age student. it just gets so busy. with me homeschooling of course it limits my participation, although now that we are all in a good groove and the kids are working more independently, i get a bit more freedom to browse while they work and then tutor when needed.

for those not there, we discussed the problem of inactivity here lately and the desire to see it growing again.
 
like what time your time so i can figure out my time. if it is sunday evening for you isn't that sunday morning for me? i couldn't, as i have to sing sunday morning.

i could do it saturday evening/night for me or sunday evening for me (my times) or monday all day - we are taking the week off of school.
 
late sunday evening for you (DS) would make it afternoon for me which would be perfect. But it'd be morning for Lady C and Sofia - if they're ok with it, might work - plus we've still to hear from Monkeycatcher.
 
I would love to join in one this one, but I'm not sure if it will work because my exams have just started!

I'd be able to make it if it wasn't too late on a Sunday Donny's time - I'm 5 hours ahead of him. I just don't want to stay up too late, as I have an exam at 9 on Monday morning.

Just to give you a heads up incase you decide to move it, my exams occur on:

Monday am
Tuesday pm (starts at 2)

Monday am
Tuesday pm
Thursday am

So I have a whole week inbetween a few of them where I'm totally free.

Not sure what's happening with this, it may be a bit late for it to be held tomorrow now at any rate - so perhaps it'll get bumped til next week. If I don't chat to you beforehand then - Good Luck with your exams, not that you need it :) .

DS, I have gotten hold of another Mic, and if you're (and of course everyone else :) ) willing to help me break it in, then I'll be on Skype Sunday afternoon :D .

I'm not sure how well I'm going to go, as it hasn't really sunk in quite yet that these are my proper exams, and I've been mucking around a bit. Oops :eek: . This year as gone way too fast - it seems surreal that it's the end of school already!
 
I have also gone out and gotten a headset, so I'd like to join in as well. I suppose it is late for something tomorrow, but perhaps another time soon. I'm available most times that you folks would be looking to do it, I just need to plan ahead so I don't sleep late!
 
Okay, looks like it wasn't okay last weekend - I had something impromptu turn up, so wasn't online in a meaningful way yesterday. So let's target this weekend.

So here's my proposal.
Saturday 24 Nov 2006, 6am my time.

I'd normally not host one again so soon after the last one, but there are special reasons for this - debutants stewart and mehastings, and to blood newly bought mics! Haha! 3 people I know bought mics - mehastings, stewart and gem. monkeycatcher, if you bought your mic, this would be the time to use it. :D

I'll get around to writing up on/giving suggestions on:
1. Topics to discuss
2. Full instructions on how to host Skypecast, skype conference

Raise your hands if you can't make it!

I'm in! I might be a little late because I usually go on a walk on Saturday mornings, but as it starts at 10 am my time, I should be fine.

I did buy a new one. It says on the front that it's compatable with Skype, so hopefully it will work a bit better. It's pretty flash, too :cool:

Oh, I can't wait for Saturday. I love the Skype meet-ups :D
 
I'm sorry, I can't make it :(

I don't normally work at that time but this Friday I do. I'm working from 3PM until 7AM, so it isn't even like I could be late. Next time folks, I promise!
 
Guys... sorry I wasn't able to write anything before this - I had a stream of late nights, and for those of the nights of which I wasn't working, I was out either watching Casino Royale or having dinner.

I want to say that the Skypecast is on, but I'm afraid it will have to be held one hour *later* than the stated time (my time it will be 7am instead of 6am). This is because I will have a serious case of nonenglishitiss in the morning at early.

Stewart, are you going to make it? This skypecast is held to meet up with you, don't forget - try to make it!

mehastings, arrrgh!
