Hi there

I'm looking for a series of books I used to read when I was younger. I remember that they were quite dark teenage fantasy. There was a castle out on a high cliff where they taught magic, and a young girl ends up there. There's a war between the 7 gods of order and the 7 gods of chaos, and she gets caught up in it, particularly with one of the gods of chaos.
I think there was a lot of moon references, too. And maybe a cat?

I can't remember anything else, and it's driving me crazy!
