A few years ago I was reading a book while visiting my aunt. I don't remember the name of the book or the author, and she doesn't seem to have it anymore. I don't believe I'd ever finished it, and would love to take another look at it.
It was kinda strange. It was about a girl who had suicidal tendencies. She would sit in the school's bathroom and slit her wrist with a compass needle, just a little almost every day, and she had these were delusional fantasies about her death being something beautiful, with her skin pale and all her blood dripping from her wrist into a bucket... A little disturbing, I'll admit. But then she somehow met a man who spoke another language, and he was from another reality or something. I remember when she went to see him she'd been wearing jeans and had sit indian style, but he'd blushed and pushed her knees together, and she didn't understand why. Then somehow they went to his reality and it turned out that all the women wore this diaper-like thing, so to him the jeans were really intimate, almost like seeing her naked or something...
Yeah, it was a really weird book, but I really want to try and read it again. It was sort of a sci-fi book, if that helps at all.
