Star Trek TNG novels and Q?

I am not a trekkie but must admit I enjoy(ed) TNG. The only Star Trek series I enjoy actually. Anyway, what are the novels like? Anyone know offhand if any/many of them include the John De Lancie character Q?

I loved that show when I was a kid, specially the episodes with Q.

I didn't even know there were novels, though.

Cheers

Rather bizarrely, this is what I was just looking at on Wikipedia - I originally went in search of a list of literary characters' names and then went on through McGuffins to Star Trek Enterprise to TNG to Q.

Here's the entry for Q: Q @ Wikipedia.

There's four novels with Q.

Q In Law was ok, Troi's mom was in it, she kinda kicked Q in the a-hole....

Q Squared brought back Trelayne - he was the guy dressed as Napoleon because he didn't know about the Speed of Light in The Original Series. I liked this one the best out of the Q books.

I, Q was pretty lame. The plot was thin, stupid, and boring. However, there was a Princess Bride reference in there that, while not redeeming the story in any way, made me laugh enough to not gouge my eyes out after reading the book.

I haven't read the Q Continuum so I can't comment on that one.... :D
