Thread will close December 15.

A maximum of ten books will be put to the vote.

If more than 10 books are suggested, then books which have more than one nomination will take priority (books with three nominations get priority over books with two etc.)

The remainder will be put forward in the order they are suggested until the 10 voting slots are filled.

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, by Jonathan Safran Foer

This is such an amazing book.

Notes From Underground by Fyodor Dostoevsky or Master and the Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov.

And maybe Tigana by Guy Gavriel Kay, since a fairly lengthy discussion already exists this vote is a half vote. ;)

Master and Margarita is one wild book! I'll go for that. Otherwise Notes from the Underground.
Peder

I would like to put Tom Robbins up for a vote, but I don't really know his work well enough to nominate something specific.

So I’m going to suggest the one I do know: Still Life with Woodpecker - Tom Robbins

Its the only Tom Robbins I have read, so if someone can suggest something better, I'll go with that instead of Still Life

There was a thread announcing the decision in the General Book Discussion forum.
Ah... I was looking around for it and couldn't find the results, and almost gave up looking, but then a fellow member was able to dig it up.

Ah, sorry about that. You may want to try this (makes finding threads easier for me):

Go to User CP and select options.
Somewhere toward the bottom there is an option for how many threads to display on a page.
I have it set to the maximum (40).
It makes finding stuff a zillion times easier because threads stay on your front page a lot longer.

Crusaders Cross by James Lee Burke.....if you haven't read him, you should. :)

Thanks for mentioning this author! I took a look at the review on Amazon, and now have reserved 8 of this series at the local 2nd hand book store.:D
I don't know how I have missed him all these years!

"Reading Lolita in Tehran" by Azar Nafisi

It would make a nice follow up on this months selection.

I agree with the suggestions of Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, by Jonathan Safran Foer

And Reading Lolita in Tehran by Azar Nafisi
