Suggestions for February 2014: Romance

I wouldn't mind reading the Bridget Jones book, assuming it is even wittier in print than it was on screen.

Does that qualify as romance?
 
I would suggest Wedding in December by Anita Shreve. I enjoyed it and was pleasantly surprised at the additional "texture" of the story beyond simple romance.
 
I would like to suggest Poison Study the first book in the Poison Study series by Maria V. Snyder :)
 
Having gone through every book in my collection I can re-assert with assurance that I don't read romance, the closest I have is Time Traveller's Wife - Audrey Niffenberger.
 
I do not believe I have ever read romance, aside from Romeo and Juliet. Speaking of, perhaps I should have the offspring read that play the next time she steps on my last nerve. She is in her fourteenth year...

Don't be so assured :D That definitely has elements in common with many romances. I hope romance doesn't mean all syrup, and that it at least makes the list for voting.
 
lol I am assured - that is the only book out of 2000 that is classifiable as 'romance'. Sci-fi / fantasy / historical / literary / non-fiction / crime / YA / childrens even a few comics .... pretty much everything but romance lol
