Summer is coming! I am planning for an educational summer activities for my kids. Though, they are still at school but I want them to continue their learning process. I have here children's books, movies, and children's bible stories. Can you share your idea with me?
How old are your kids? The easiest thing to do is plan weekly library trips and bring home tall stacks for them to read themselves if they're old enough, or for you to read to them..Of course there's no law that says you can't read aloud to older kids too. They tend to like it a whole lot more than they might like to admit. It creates a special atmosphere that is precious.
Another thing you can do along this theme is to pick a book or two..again depending on the age of your children, and plan a few activities that build on the book's content..for example:A Story About Ping: You could take the opportunity to show the children where China is on the atlas..and maybe read a short book about China and its culture. Or you could read books about ducks and maybe go to the zoo or park and feed the ducks..that's great entertainment btw..
The possibilities are endless since there are so many wonderful books out there. The point is to have fun with your kids and pretty soon you'll realize you're all learning at the same time.
