Super Bowl XL: STEELERS RULE

So who plans on watching the super bowl? This one might be great as a major storm is expected to blow through, depositing 4 to 9 inches of snow.:)

I'm definitely watching the game. I suffered through a lot of years when the Steelers stank. But, I am definitely not making any predictions or anything. I don't want to jinx anything.

I slept right through it. I still don't know who was in it, all I know is that the Pats weren't (not that I'd have watched it even if they were). I did hear that the commercials were lousy, and I haven't heard a thing about the Stones. Any comments?

Watching Mick Jagger swagger in front of girls who could be his grand-daughter was enough to about make me puke. He did this thing where he swayed his arms and hips back and forth, while exposing his stomach and the stretch-marks on his arms. It was revolting.

In regards to commercials, some life insurance company had an awesome ad-the guy with "shock" paddles and a patient-absolutely hilarious, the new escalade commercial-too smaltsy.

The Steelers won the game, it was actually a game worth watching and that went down to the closing minutes of the game. A reverse pass from a wide reicever to another was THE play of the game. Not only that, but even Roethlisberger provided a great block to help make it happen.

Some of my kids went to a Superbowl Party with the youth group at our church. They had a contest to see who could guess the correct number of commercials. The count was 93! My dd won and came home with the grand prize: a KSU penant:rolleyes:

LOL-And K-State has anything remotely to do with this how? At least the Seahawk's Grant Wistrom played for Nebraska.;)

I heard that the Stones were horrible. Not just too old to be carrying on like that, but seriously out of tune and practice. The commercials were very disappointing. But, as has been said, the Steelers won, so I guess it's OK.

It was not the best performance by The Stones imo. I'm originally from Pittsburgh area and have been a fan of the Steelers for decades......so I am STOKED that they won the Super Bowl!!!:D
