I found this series of book called" The Chater for Children" by chance , when I seachered for the books for my kids. I read a little bit and can not stop laughing all the time. The author is great, I have to say. The stories I have read so far are amazing. The information included in these stories is far beyond the basic right of Chater. It opens an window for the kids to know the world and to know how to deal with other people.
It's different from the conventional fairy tale. The background of each story is strongly connected with daily life. For example, the story called "The Plight Beneath the Northern Light" is based on the widely discussed world topic: excessive drilling causeing worldwide ice-melting. Then the pole bear, the victim of this catastrophe becomes the character of this story. One interesting story happened to pole bear due to this issue teaches kid that " people have the right to meet and form groups" according to the Chapter. It's very funny and educational at the same time.
Above is only one example that help you to get a clue of the contents of the book. After reading stories with my kids together, I decided to recommend this book to all parents. Both kids and parents will have fun together.
