Technothrillers?

What's considered a 'technothriller'? I've heard this term used before.. I was thinking like Crichton books? I'm really liking Crichton and Doulgass Preston & Lincoln Child. They're like fantasy-science fiction, but not really. Anyone have any other suggestions for books like Crichton or Preston & Child?
 
I see that there are books that are coming out that are based on the television series "24". I've not read any of them, but since the show is so high tech, I wonder if those would qualify? :confused:
 
Prey by Michael Crichton is a good technothriller.

Also Lincoln Child did Utopia, never read it, but I hear a great techno-thriller.
