Terry Johnston's Titus Bass series

Hi folks. This is my first ever post on this forum, and I'm hoping it'll lead to several more as I meet fellow readers who may help lead me to my next great reading adventure.

First, a question for whoever may know the answer...

Terry Johnston is well known for his Titus Bass series of books, which include three separate trilogies including:

1) Carry the Wind, 1982
2) Borderlands, 1985
3) One Eyed Dream, 1988

4) Dance on the Wind, 1996
5) Buffalo Palace, 1997
6) Crack in the Sky, 1998

7) Ride the Moon Down, 1999
8) Death Rattle, 2000
9) Wind Walker, 2002

The first book I read in the series was "Dance on the Wind", which I just happened to stumble upon, and I followed that by reading "Buffalo Palace" and am now about two chapters away from finishing up "Crack in the Sky". I'd like to read the entire 9 book series IN ORDER, but I'm wondering which book picks up the story where "Crack in the Sky" finishes off. Chronologically speaking, the next book in the series that Johnston wrote was "Ride the Moon Down", but some things I've read online have given me the impression that "Carry the Wind" (Johnston's first book of his first trilogy) is actually the next phase of the story in this series....even though it was written before the second trilogy was.

Long story short, which book should I read next to pick up exactly where "Crack in the Sky" leaves off? Is it actually "Carry the Wind" or "Ride the Moon Down"?

Thanks,
Nick
