Text Transformation Recommendation

Hey everybody! I'm just about to start a school project which requires me to take a piece of literature and transform it in terms of genre and style and i was wondering if anybody had some interesting ideas for me to look at, a simple example would be modernising Goldilocks at the same time as writing from a bear's point of view. Thanks for any feedback and please don't think I'm asking you to do my work for me, lol, I'm just interested in your ideas.
