I bought a hardback copy of the Amber Spyglass from eBay, It was listed as publishers page has been removed, so no one could tell if it was a 1st addition.
This didn't matter to me as I had read the first two books and wanted to read the last book by Philip Pullman.
I started reading the book, it appeared to be unread. When I got to page 56, it suddenly jumped to page 89 and continued to page 120, it then went back to page 89 again and continued to the end of the book. I have 2 chapters missing and 2 duplicate chapters.
Other than the missing publishers page, the book appears untampered with.
How unusual is this?
