--well, I read the Angels & Demons by Dan Brown in one sitting,in 18 straight hours, from 9pm to 3pm the next day(aside from a few seconds of trip to bathroom and in the kitchen),then I also read the Tuesdays with morrie ,and Five People You Meet in heaven in one sitting too,but not in the same day,and besides it's only a 200+ pages, so no brainer.
I'll post again If I remember some more. :)

I have so little time tor read, or for anything thease days. Of coarse I have plenty of time to spam the book forum :D

I'm really enjoying House of Spirits right now and read it when ever I get the chance. It's a great book and really draws me into it's world.

I can never read Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders series when I am in school, because I tend to end up reading it rather than doing my homework or studying.

Like what Wabbit said, "The House of the Spirits", the author tells everything in great detail, as if the world she created really existed. Awesome book!

But the Harry Potter books are the best for me, by far. =/ I remember reading the 3rd in the morning when I woke up, on the school bus on my way to school, whenever there aren't any teachers around/breaks, on the bus going home and before I slept. That's how I finished the book in a day! LOL! :D I just couldn't sleep not knowing what was happening next.

Oops, here I go again with my nonsense. :p

The third HP book was like that for me, as well. Its by far my favorite....just had to know what was going to happen.

Harry Potter hit me that way, I "borrowed" someone's advance copy (when I worked at the bookstore) and read it in one shift, when I was supposed to be working.

In Cold Blood was that way, too. Was up till 4 in the morning.

Revolutionary Road - Richard Yates
House of Leaves - Danielewski
Everyhting from Karin Fossum and Henning Mankell
Secret History - Donna Tartt
Everyhting from Amelie Nothomb

The Sirens of Titan - Kurt Vonnegut
Everything is Illuminated - Jonathan Safran Foer

Cheers, Martin

Hadn't read a book in awhile, and I picked up a random book in our library (at home) that I hadn't read. Sat down to read and didn't get up til I was done. Admitedly it's a short book, but Beyond the Farthest Star by Edgar Rice Burroughs did the trick. I often have this problem with his adventure stories. He's like the Louis L'Amour of the jungle and alien worlds. :p

And the movie'd better be good. =P

I had to wait a long while 'til I got my own copy of the 4th one, I borrowed instead. =P

The book i read in a few hours is The Long Walk by Stephen KIng. When i read the first page i couldn't stop it. It's about 250-300 pages i think. You cannot stop reading it. Also "The TAlisman" made me reading it all day but it was very big and you cannot finish it in one day (800-850) pages I think.

1984 - by George Orwell

A great book, I read it in one sitting and read it a few times each year.

Slaughterhouse-five - Kurt Vonnegut

Another excellent book which I read in one sitting, which isn't really worth saying since it is an extremely fast read.

Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Identity.

Okay, maybe not from exactly the first page, but certainly the first Chapter. I mean, there was a storm at sea, a shooting, an almost drowning, an explosion, and amnesia all in the first chapter, and all involving the same guy! I HAD to read more! LOL

And for those who haven't read the book but have seen the movie, as is normal, the movie doesn't do justice to the book.

Harry Potter the goblet of fire and the order of the phoenix.I read straight through the night couldn't put it down i really enjoyed it.The librarian said i deserved an award for reading like that when i took the book in the next day i felt so proud.I feel kinda silly  saying harry potter but there you have it.

I finished TOOTP overnight, as well. Got it at 3pm on Saturday and finished it the next evening (this is with having to work an 8 hour day). I did sleep, but only because I would've been quite ineffective at work had I not slept. One of the reasons I read it so quickly, though, was to prevent my hearing about any parts of the plot online, on the tv, or from friends. Now I have to go back and re-read it and really enjoy the book.
