LOL Yeah, at least down here, we have a few days warning if we're about to be washed out to sea, or Gulf of Mexico in our case.

I don't think so..at least I don't remember my dh mentioning this when he was building our last two houses. There are codes of course, but I don't think there's any that are specifically designed for tornado damage. I'll ask; now I'm curious. I know that since the Andover Tornado of 1991, mobile home parks and other public places have had stricter regulations about providing storm shelters.
