"god of small things"was the name of a book(not great!)
It's the little things that really make life worth our while,like-

The first swallow of beer on a hot days when your real thirsty, the others are good to but not like the first one.Make you smack your lips and sigh deeply
(a french book bore this title and was a perfect description of those monent)

Clean and crispy sheets when you have been traveling for a while

The face of a dog sleeping before a fire place

A bright sunny spring sunday mornings.

when you just get out of a pool still dripping water and lay down a towel, first 10 seconds are blissfull

When you catch a wave in surf, drive real fast on a bike,...all the adrenaline stuff

When you just finished a phone call ,or else, you have been posponing for days or weeks....it's done....

Crisp clean sheets that were line-dried..( I call it the 'solar-dryer)

The way small children and infants are absolutely thrilled to see mom or dad again, even when the last time was just minutes ago..instant ego builder:)

A small child's delight in a simple game of 'peekaboo'.

Same small kid investigating the 'baby in the mirror.'

The first 'good' days of spring.. where we can play outside and not need pesky things like coats and hats. Those days are golden.

kids falling asleep on time:D

My kids hugging me, for nothing in return....

My dog resting his head on my foot...

Being in Greece, sleeping outside on a balcony at night...

smelling the sea while you are lying down outside on that balcony....

The first swallow of beer on a hot days when your real thirsty

Yes. Good choice. When you are real hot and the beer's very cold it feels like you can feel it every inch of the way to your stomach. That is a great feeling.

My wife's laugh.

Warm summer evenings.

College football over the radio.

Getting meaningful pieces of mail.

Lilacs in bloom.

the smell of lilacs in Connecticut in May

listening to Pavarotti while walking on the treadmill

my husband bringing me the year's first radish from the garden

sitting in my easy chair with a book and a cup of coffee
