Woohoo! I just found the first season on DVD!! I loved this show when it first screened a few years back. I hope they bring out the rest of the series too :)
 
Oooh, I loved that show. I would love to have Jared's talents, but with my family intact and without the emotional trauma and guilt from doing the Centre's bidding for so long.
 
I had to get the first season on DVD too. I absolutely adored that show when it started years ago and would try not to miss an episode. I know the reruns air on TNT at 7 o'clock, but there's no way in hell that I'm getting up at that hour for anything.

Apart from having an obvious crush on Jared, I loved analyzing his relationship with Miss Parker.

Have any of you seen the movie Island of the Haunted?
 
:D Nice to know someone else shares my happiness! I still haven't had the chance to get through the first season (which I never saw when it wasw originally on tele), but I can't wait for the Angelo episodes to start!

Now if they'd just put The Sentinel on DVD I'd be completely content.... :eek:
 
Yeah, I haven't finished watching all the episodes either. Although I had to watch "The Paper Clock" where Jared poses as a defense attorney and his first client is that transvestite cab driver. That's one of my favorite episodes. Once I get the second season, I'm sure I'll find the time to watch them all once fall quarter classes are over.

What was the first episode you ever seen? I caught the last twenty minutes of one which was when I first got interested, but the first full episode I seen was the one about when Jared finds that baby in the dumpster.
 
The first episode I saw... ? I think it was part way through the first series, because I saw almost every other episode. I'm at about the 6th episode of the series now and I'm not at the first one I saw just yet. I'll let you know when I get there, though. I'm loving finding out where all the images in the intro credits come from, though!
 
I've been ranting how there is so much coming out next month to buy (movies, anime boxed sets, etc) and here's just one more thing to add to the list.

Did Mr. Lyle ever creep you out?
 
Thread resurrection time. ^^ I knew if I looked hard enough, I'd find a Pretender thread. :D

I loved this show when it aired on TV, and I love it more now that I can watch the DVDs. I'm currently in the middle of Season Three and loving every second of it. Admittedly, I have a -huge- crush on Jarod. :eek: But, really, how can you not? :D

Anyone know if they're releasing the movies with, or after, they release Season Four? I missed those when they aired and would love the chance to see them.

See, I never heard about these 'movies'. I'm not sure we ever got them in Oz. So season 3 is out now? I'll have to make some enquiries about that! I have the first two seasons in NTSC format, and I'm not sure whether to get PAL (if it's even available) or stay with NTSC. I'm sure it'll be cheaper in the US/Canada, though.

I hadn't heard of them either. But would like to see them. :D
I was very sorry when the show was cancelled.
 
I hadn't heard about them until I bought Seasons One and Two the other month and I started researching a few things (mostly to make sure there really had been only four seasons, and I wasn't missing anything). Huzzah. I missed something :rolleyes: . But yeah, hopefully they release those in DVD, too. If not, I'll have to find some sap to d/l them for me ;).
 
I have "Island of the Haunted" recorded on tape somewhere. Good movie, but I didn't know that there were more.

As for the season box sets, I have up to three but haven't finished watching a single one. I've been just popping in a DVD to watch every now and then, but I really should watch them in order.

Yes, what's not to be crushing about Jarod? ;)
