The Swiffer Generation?

WTH is this "swiffer generation" and why are they defined by this product?

After all these societal changes since the fifties era of the stay-at-home mom, many women still seem to fill that same role. New moms are "super" because they are busy and they manage to clean fast? Whatever. I don't get it. Is anyone going to read that book they have prominently advertized?

I googled "Swiffer Generation" and the only pages that came up related to that book. I can't fathom why a person would want to associate themselves (and their fledgling book) with a household cleaning device. To me it says "this book is for women who are willing to settle for a life putting husbands, children, laundry and food preparation first at all cost". I could be wrong though. This book could be great. I'll wait to see if someone chimes in to say they've actually read it before the total write-off.
